More than a full-service, award-winning team of entertainment advertising and interactive campaign specialists, PETROL has been an unwavering supporter of our students in so many ways, including our first-ever Entertainment Bootcamp, which took place this summer.
During the week of July 11-15, PETROL hosted the bootcamp, starting with a behind-the-scenes tour, where students met agency president and chief creative officer Alan Hunter, along with several of his superstar team members (“Petrolians”) to learn about the inner workings of the interactive entertainment industry.
The bootcamp schedule also included informative Zoom presentations, featuring speakers from PETROL and CSUN, which covered a wide range of topics from A/V production and 3D animation to career development and entrepreneurship.
To cap off the week, selected student portfolios were reviewed and critiqued by Petrolians, providing invaluable feedback (as they’ve done in the past during CSUN’s annual “Conquer the Challenge” portfolio events) for students currently planning their post-graduation endeavors.
As we nurture and expand our partnership with PETROL, the list of CSUN students and alumni who have landed internships and/or positions within the agency continues to grow. We look forward to fueling our ambitions with many more collaborative events and activities in the future. Thank you, PETROL!
